Being asked to photograph a Belle Isle Castle Wedding was fantastic. As a venue, I had heard great reports and was excited to get the chance to shoot their myself.

Indeed, if you haven’t been to Belle Isle Castle in Co Fermanagh, then you are missing out!

Private Wedding Venue

It is an amazing venue for an intimate Northern Ireland wedding. Set on a private island on Lough Erne, you have exclusive use of the entire castle and its grounds for the day. And wow, the Castle and its grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for any wedding. Its a place where you can really feel at home, creating an atmosphere for a really relaxed day.

Being on ‘Fermanagh’ time. everything is cool , calm and collected…theres no hurry or fuss created by the exceptional team who run the Castle. Instead they allow your Belle Isle Castle wedding to have its own pace. Its your day to enjoy! I loved it so much its now on my list of favourite venues in Northern Ireland.

Fairytale Belle Isle Castle

As a fairytale setting, Belle Isle Castle has it all, and it will enchant you and your guests. Driving down through the grounds, you get the feeling like you are stepping into old world charm, and when you turn the corner and see the castle, you are simply blown away. From a photographers point of view, it is a dream to work at.

Amazing Wedding Photography

There are so many amazing photography backdrops, from the lane leading to the Castle, to the lake, The Castle itself, and all the beautiful rooms inside. It has a lovers seat/swing, and fabulous mature trees and shrubs, all of which provide excellent backdrops for wedding photography. Everywhere I looked there was another fabulous thing I hadn’t spotted before. Can you tell I was in photographers heaven?

Wedding Photography Belle Isle Castle

Jo and Rod knew this was going to be the perfect venue for their big day. With close family and friends, they had a beautiful and relaxed wedding, filled with romance, fun and craic. Jo and Rob had separate getting ready rooms. This was great as it meant that I was able to photograph both the bride and groom getting ready.

They held everything at Belle Isle Castle, with the service and wedding breakfast both held in the amazing Grand Hall. They were also blessed with beautiful blue and clear skies, enabling guests to mingle and enjoy the craic and sunshine outside. It was a fantastic wedding and here is a little snapshot of their day.
