The story of a stormy day, a windy beach – and Laura and Colin’s unforgettably laughter-filled Christmas wedding
As a Documentary Northern Ireland Wedding Photographer, you get to go to some super locations and venues. As such, I couldn’t help but approve of their choice of the stylish Clandeboye Lodge, with its fabulous location just a short drive from the city.
Capturing those intimate times during a wedding is a privilege for me. Like the moment when Laura first appeared in her stunningly beautiful wedding dress…to the seriously loved-up look in Colin’s eyes as he caught sight of her for the first time, just before their ceremony began. Then all the little details, from flower choice and table settings through to the dapper choice of cufflinks…it just oozed style and personality.
Laughter echoed throughout Laura and Colin’s wedding day. All the guys turned out in their own choice of multi-coloured socks, and the girls frocks were simply stunning. Then there was that amazing cupcake wedding cake, speeches that were both funny and touching, and no space to be had on the dance floor from the moment the music began!
Thankfully, in this wettest of winters, the rain stayed away long enough for the bridal party to cheerfully brave the wind on Crawfordsburn Beach. I think the images of Laura and Colin giggling as they stomped around the Country Park in their wellies really does sum up their optimistic attitude to the life they intend to enjoy forever together.
Thanks for inviting me along guys…I loved every minute of your day!
