Tullyglass House has a history dating back almost 300 years. Steeped in horse racing and distilling whiskey this venue has many stories to tell. Fast forward to the present day, its now one of Co Antrims finest hotels.
Who Owns the Tullyglass Hotel
The McConville Family bought this ‘Gentlemans Residence’ in 1993, with a remarkable vision.
They have cultivated and utilised the enchanting woodland environment, manicured beautiful gardens, upgraded and enhanced facilities converting the Tullyglass House Hotel into a multi award winning and exclusive wedding venue.

Nestled on the outskirts of Ballymena, the Tullyglass is situated on the exclusive Galgorm Road… its the perfect location.

Tullyglass House Hotel is one of the most accessible venues in Co Antrim. Just 30 minutes from Belfast by car, its also about 30 mins to the Antrim Coast, making this venue the perfect choice for couples from all over Northern Ireland. Its also just 25 minutes from the International Airport, making it ideal for weddngs where the guests are flying in!
Onsite, there there is also opportunity for coach parking, for those couples who choose to organise their guests transport.

The Tullyglass House Hotel is one of the few venues in Northern Ireland who can cater for extra large weddings.
Clock Tower Suite at the Tullyglass Hotel
The Clocktower suite has to be seen to be believed. Fully renovated in 2022, this exquisite suite is perfect for any wedding. On arrival, guests can enjoy drinks and canapés in the clocktower itself. Moving into the main room, the seating layout is perfect for mingling. Opening up onto the beautiful garden, your guests can also relax in the sunshine – its the perfect place to set up some garden games.
This suite stands out, as being one of the largest in Northen Ireland. It can be partitioned and made smaller or larger based on the size of your wedding. Boasting an ability to have 86 round tables – thats a potential 850 guests! Now, I’ve been photographing weddings for 14 years, and in all that time, the largest guest list was circa 300 guests – in Northern Ireland a wedding with 850 guests is unheard of – but if this is your plan, the Clocktower suite is the perfect choice. **Important information – you will need at least 4 photographers to cover a wedding of this size.**.
The Corinthian Suite at the Tullyglass
The Corinthian Suite is another beautiful room for a wedding reception. It can accommodate up to 220 guests and you have the added bonus of using the Conservatory for arrival drinks and canapés. Its the perfect spot to mingle with your guests.
Moving into the evening time, it can accommodate a further 130 people. This means you can have one heck of an evening party with 350 of your family and friends!

Where do I start! I love the Tullyglass for wedding photos. The grounds are incredible, with so many options.
Even if it rains, there are plenty of spots for beautiful photos
I absolutely love shooting weddings here.
There are a few main areas that can be used, but it’s impossible to list them all.
The Fountain Area
When you arrive at the Tullyglass Hotel, you are greeted by a beautiful fountain and carefully manicured garden. A fabulous paved terrace, complete with red carpet, leads you to the main entrance of the hotel.
Beside the fountain, is also entrance into the Corinthian Suite. This has the most incredible double fronted old doors and these look incredible in photos. In the garden to the side, theres also a great old stone wall that can be utilised as a backdrop. In the spring and summer, the light hits this garden perfectly, and is a great location to have your family photos.
Make your way across the car park and you arrive into a large tree filled meadow. Its surprising how many people overlook this area…but I love it.
Galgorm Road
To the left of the hotel, is a beautiful tree lined laneway, that leads to the Galgorm Road entrance of the hotel. This area looks great in wedding photos.
Immediately outside the entrance to the Clocktower suite, a hidden area awaits, filled with old whiskey kegs, and an old wall feature. This area works well in all weathers, but has the added bonus of providing some natural cover if it rains
Clocktower Suite Garden
Everyone recognises the photos taken in the Clocktower Garden. It has some ‘signature’ features, only found at the Tullyglass Hotel.
From bandstands, walkways, old stone walls, and the most beautiful old red door, this place is a dream to photograph in..
It also makes a great backdrop for family photos or casual candid’s of your guests relaxing and enjoying your day.
