Emma and Jan | Stylish, Sophisticated & Chic

Emma and Jan’s Castle Wedding

I first met Emma and Jan a few years back, when I was invited to Emmas family home for a family shoot. Fast forward a few years, and I was delighted when Jan got in touch with the fantastic news that himself and Emma were getting married. I was even more thrilled to hear that they wanted me to photograph their Lissanoure Castle wedding.

I fell in love with this venue a few years back, and just love returning time and time again. Its also on my list of favourite wedding venues which you will find here.

Emma and Jan now both living in Hong Kong, so organised this amazing wedding from afar. However, from the outset I knew it was going to be stunning, full of fun, with their personalities and family being at its heart.

Wedding attire

Personalisation was a prominent feature of the day. Jan wore a hand made tailored tuxedo, complete with the most exquisite white jacket. Meanwhile, Emma spent hours adding celtic touches to her veil. Living together in Hong Kong made it difficult to hide these customised details from each other. However Emma was determined and pretended to be really busy at work. In reality, she had her veil in the office and was busy working on it! Even the meal had courses from Poland and Ireland…a nod to Emmas heritage and Jan’s Polish connections.

Wedding Flowers

Flowers were supplied by the talented Leckey and Golden in Belfast. Just down the road from Emma’s parents home, they were the perfect choice. They created beautiful bouquets and arrangements for the day.

Emma and Jan’s Wedding Music

Emma and Jan have a love of music and this was visible throughout the day.

On arrival guests were treated to a beautiful quartet, Jan’s sister even took the mic and sang a tune.

Irish music accompanied the Irish dance performance, was closely followed by The Muddlers, who as ever delivered an incredible set. Wedding DJ Chris then took over the stage and had the dance floor pumping all night. It was one heck of a party

The Wedding Photos

Well, with this incredible venue, the photos were always going to be great.

I spent the whole day with Emma and Jan. Starting in Emmas family home, I captured all the ladies getting ready. Meanwhile my second shooter headed to Jan’s hotel, capturing some shots of the boys getting ready.

Wedding portraits were captured in the incredible grounds. There are so many fabulous spots at this venue, that us wedding photographers can loose the run of ourselves. Its just one amazing location after another.

Please believe me when I say, this venue is one of the best for wedding photography!

I also got to spend time with the lovely Matthew from Blank Canvas Productions. Its always a pleasure working with Matthew, so if you do need a video for your wedding, I highly recommend him!

Emma and Jan, thank you so much for inviting me to be your wedding photographer, I loved every minute of it.
