Loren & Stephen’s Beautiful Winter Wedding

Winter Wedding Decor

One of the bonus’s in getting married at Christmas time is the decor. Almost every venue is decorated impeccably, with Christmas trees, decorated fireplaces and little touches that just add to your wedding day.

The Ceremony

The service was conducted by the Rev Gary Haire, who is just the loveliest person. I’ve photographed many weddings where Gary has been the officiant. He is incredible at what he does, making sure that every wedding is personalised to the bride and groom. He’s also great at making couples super relaxed and involving your guests.

Loren looked beautiful in her dress from Petticoat Lane Bridal in Hillsborough, and her faux fur and feather stole was bang on trend for this winter wedding

Stephen was kitted out in a dapper suit from Focus Menswear in Bangor. This is a great store for the men of any bridal party. I’ve met the guys who work in Focus many times at the Quirky wedding fair, where we both exhibit and I think they have the best selection to choose from.

The Flowers

Beautiful flowers were supplied by Marie Cafolla Flowers of Newtownards. As ever, they were fabulous.

Winter Wedding Photography

Winter light is beautiful in photographs, especially when golden hour happens around 3pm.

Loren & Stephen stayed on site at the venue for their wedding photos. It’s a beautiful Northern Ireland venue, with plenty of options for photography.

While the guests had fun indoors, Loren, Stephen and myself, took a leisurely stroll around the hotel grounds, taking the odd photo as we went.

The Wedding Cake

Supplied by Boxhill Bespoke Cake Designs, it was elegant and beautiful. As a lover of cakes, I’m always amazed at some of the wedding cakes that I see. This one was pure and simple elegance.
