Katharine and Chris a Stylish Clandeboye Wedding

Katharine & Chris’s Wedding

Katharine and Chris had the most incredible wedding in the Clandeboye Lodge. This stylish wedding was one heck of a fun filled extravaganza!

I have known Katharine my whole life. She’s the cousin of my best friend and as such we have shared many things over the years; childhood birthday party, nights out with friends, funerals and wedding celebrations. I was thrilled (and also a little bit nervous) when she asked me to photograph her wedding to Chris.

Katharine and Chris are a perfect match, you can feel the happiness and love between these two lovebirds. Their wedding celebration was everything I knew it would be; elegant, sophisticated, and stylish, with a huge amount of craic.

Wedding Decor

The wedding of Katharine and Chris was held just a few days after the new year. The venue still had all their Christmas show-stopping decor, which was stunning.

Katharine and Chris added their own personalised touches with the help of some amazing suppliers including the incredible Evanity Boutique. Honestly, their wedding flowers were just amazing. From the bridal bouquets to the table arrangements, the button holes to the foliage everything was impressive.

The Bridal Party

Katharine has always been very stylish, so I wasn’t surprised when she stepped out of the car in her incredible wedding dress from McIlhinneys. She was absolutely stunning, chic and oozing elegance.

Her three beautiful bridesmaids were in fabulous dresses from Chantilly & Lace. The colour palate was just beautiful.

Chris was equally stylish in a dapper suit from Focus menswear. He was also incredibly relaxed whilst waiting for Katherine’s arrival, chatting and laughing with all of their guests.

A Personalised Wedding Service

I really love weddings at this NI wedding venue, as it gives me a chance to catch up with the Rev Gary Haire. He is a lovely celebrant, gives great care and attention to every couple; making each wedding service individual to them.

The wedding service for Katherine and Chris was no different, a real intimate service, mixed with readings from close family members. Gary made it unique to them, with some craic thrown in for good measure; it was really lovely.

The Wedding Reception

The Belfast Ukelele band kicked the party off in the Sheridan suite. It was one heck of an afternoon shindig. Cocktails, canapés and table dancing in the afternoon; sure it would be rude not to!

The speeches before the wedding breakfast were great craic. A a tasteful amount of reminiscing, coupled with heartfelt tales of love for Katharine from her dad, and from her new husband Chris.

The wedding cake by Grain and Co was classically styled and well designed, fitting in with the rest of the wedding decor and theming perfectly. It was also absolutely delicious!

After dinner, more guests arrived and the party and dancing went on into the wee small hours. It was one of those wedding parties that you remember for a long time.

Wedding Photography

This venue is incredible for wedding photos and Katharine and Chris opted to stay on site and make use of the beautiful gardens and walkways.

Here is a few photos from throughout the day.
