With over 800 years of history, this wedding venue has seen it all. From princesses to working farm hands, many people have been touched by this beautiful estate.
Its potted history has seen it as a working Mill and in recent times a working farm. But in 2003, a vision was born, that has developed Ballymagarvey Village to the exceptional and award winning wedding venue that exists today.
Where is Ballymagarvey Village
In the heart of the Boyne Valley, Ballymagarvey Village is just 30 minutes north of Dublin.
If travelling from Northern Ireland, it takes about 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
There is plenty of parking and many couples transport their guest’s to the venue by coach.

There are 4 main accommodation options at Ballymagarvey
1. Manor House
9 bedrooms in the main house of Ballymagarvey have been tastefully restored and decorated, accommodating 18 guests. Its beautiful.
2. Courtyard Cottages
The courtyard, with its 20 ensuite rooms is an incredible place. This tiered courtyard used to house workers of the farm and mill. Now, luxurious bedrooms await your guests in the most tranquil of settings.
3. Schoolhouse Rooms
Here you will find 6 tastefully designed rooms, with a charming outlook onto the courtyard garden.
4. Secret Garden Rooms
The perfect space to get ready, in a secret garden, hidden away from all of your guests. The Secret Garden has 5 exquisite rooms for your wedding party to enjoy.
There are also local hotels, Airbnb’s and Guest houses in the local area. Ballymagarvey can give you a recommended suppliers list of required.

Indoor Ceremonies at Ballymagarvey
The Mill Loft at Ballymagarvey Village is the perfect place to say ‘I do”.
Catering for Civil partnerships, Civil ceremonies, Humanist weddings and wedding blessings, this room is beautiful. With stone walls, exposed beams and holding up to 170 guests, its the perfect room to tie the knot.
Outdoor Ceremonies at Ballymagarvey
The beautiful ‘Gwenllian’s Garden’ is the perfect choice for an outdoor wedding at Ballymagarvey Village.
Holding your Wedding Reception at Ballymagarvey
There are 2 main options for your wedding reception in Ballymagarvey Village.
The Manor House
This is the perfect spot to have an arrival drinks reception. Elegant drawing rooms and a fabulous conservatory, it is a wonderful space to entertain your guests.
The Conservatory can also be used for intimate weddings of up to 50 guests.
The Banqueting Hall
When you walk into this room for the first time, it takes your breath away.
Catering for up to 220 guests, this room in The Old Mill is simply incredible.
A whimsical place, with fabulous decor. All you really need to do is turn up!
Best places for Wedding Photo’s at Ballymagarvey
This venue is a photographers dream. There are so many options to choose from.
Its like a luxury candy store for photographers, as the backdrops are all incredible.
There are so many options that you just cant list them all, so I will try to group them into 4 main areas.
1. The Manor House
This beautiful house, complete with its round tower and sweeping gravel driveway is a perfect location for beautiful wedding photos.
Mature trees and manicured bushes make this area beautiful.
2. Photos at The Mill Pond
The beautiful Mill pond is a great area for photos.
The walkway over the water, reeds and the beautiful stone of the Mill in the background.
Its simply stunning!
3. Courtyard Photos at Ballymagarvey
The beautiful stone walkways and doors make for beautiful photos.
Its also a great area to plan your family group photos, with everything being close at hand.
4. The ‘Chandelier Tree’ at Ballymagarvey
OMG, the ‘Chandelier Tree’ is a dream!
At night time it’s extra special…I think the photos speak from themselves!
