Rustic Wool Tower Wedding
The Wool Tower Wedding venue
This rustic, quirky and historic spinning mill, is fabulous. It’s perfect for all couples.
Back in the 18th Century, The Wool Tower was a spinning mill, spinning wool from local sheep.
These days, this historic red brick mill has been transformed into an incredible exclusive wedding venue, tastefully restored with a rustic and quirky charm.
Exclusively yours on your wedding day, there will be no interruptions from the outside world! It’s perfect for couples who want a wedding venue where they can have their ceremony, photos and reception all in the one place.
Are you planning an intimate wedding or coordinating the ultimate, fist pumping family shindig?
You can have the wedding of your dreams at The Wool Tower in Broughshane, where they can easily accommodate up to 200 guests.
Where is the Wool Tower?
The Wool Tower is located in Broughshane, just outside of Ballymena, within the locality of Raceview Mill.

The Wool Hall
Upstairs in the Wool Hall is where most couples hold their wedding breakfast. The staircase leading to this hall is gorgeous, the stuff of fairy tales (there’s also lift access for those who need it).
The Wool Hall itself is light and airy, with more exposed brick, a vaulted pitched pine ceiling, Georgian windows, a Juliette balcony and quarry stone floors. This place is a dream wedding venue. You can decorate The Wool Hall to your own taste, but even with minimal decoration, it looks amazing.
It has a real warm and homely feel, the perfect place to relax with family and friends for your wedding reception.
Vaulted Ceremony Room
A vaulted ceiling, exposed brick and the most beautiful floor make this room just perfect for a wedding ceremony. It’s beautiful. You can decorate it and personalise it as much as you wish, but if I’m being honest, it’s already fabulous in its naked state.
An INCREDIBLE space for YOUR WEDDING
The Copper Penny Bar
I loved the Copper Penny Bar (I promise its nothing to do with the fact that I love the colour copper). But this bar area really has been built to complement and fit in with the warm tones of the red brick and wooden beams.
Had I not been working, I could easily have made myself at home in this bar!
Accommodation at the Wool Tower
The Wool Tower has a small number of bedrooms on site and these are usually held for the bridal party.
BUT, there’s plenty of hotel and guesthouse accommodation in the local area for your wedding guests.
Wedding Photography at the Wool Tower
The Wool Tower is one of those places that us wedding photographers love. Exposed brick, corrugated iron, vaulted and beamed ceilings. There’s a real industrial vibe of times gone by.
Outside in the walled courtyard, there are beautiful walkways, lovely gardens and a secluded spot down by the River Braid for photos.
As a wedding photographer I am literally spoilt for choice when shooting at this venue!
I have no doubt that all couples will have an amazing wedding day at The Wool Tower, Broughshane. Its not surprising that its on the list of my favourite wedding venues in Northern Ireland.
This is the sort of wedding venue, that I as a NI Wedding Photographer love to shoot at.
